About

Grandma Sue loved her first career of teaching from pre-school through college level after obtaining degrees in English/German/Remedial Reading at Central College in Pella, IA, and Linguistics/Teaching English as a Second Language at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. Life circumstances and another degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland spawned a second career in the computer industry that lasted many more years. When grandson Austin Wyatt was born, she had a new subject for her avid love of photography. Her memories of treasured times with her grandparents and the fun she is having with her own grandson shape her creative side of documenting the special relationships and moments of life for young and old to treasure.

Grandma Sue grew up in the Midwest (Chicago suburbs and Wisconsin). After college she has lived in Southern Illinois; Memphis, TN; Glen Burnie/Annapolis, MD; Yorkshire, England; San Jose/Los Angeles, CA and Reno, NV.

Grandma Sue’s first book Grandpa, Do It! I Do It, Too! is simply narrated, every day experiences that turn into special moments for Grandpa and Grandson. Memories of compassion, character, patience and love illustrate that we seldom know the impact we make on another individual. Children and adults enjoy talking about the activities and details in the pictures – as they remember their own special moments – either with or as grandparents. Great conversation starter for language discussion groups.
