We had a very high tide (7.1 ft) in Long Beach on June 3rd. This photo is only 7 minutes earlier than the max.
Only 7 minutes short of high tide the gangway is level with the quay.
The next morning shows low tide:
The next morning shows the gangway making a long stretch down to the water.
