High Tide and Low Tide
June 12, 2012We had a very high tide (7.1 ft) in Long Beach on June 3rd. This photo is only 7 minutes earlier than the max.
Only 7 minutes short of high tide the gangway is level with the quay.
The next morning shows low tide:
The next morning shows the gangway making a long stretch down to the water.

Happy Earth Day!
April 22, 2012Happy Earth Day! I spent it cleaning house with soap & water and vinegar and such! Such fun! It would be more fun with my husband, or my sisters, or even the grandchildren! Ah, well. It’s looking good! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving!
November 24, 2011I hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving! We had a great time with my sister and brother-in-law. We haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! We are so thankful for our blessings and we pray for those who lost their houses, businesses, cars, musical instruments, etc. in the big Reno Caughlin Fire.
