We totally enjoyed yesterday’s session of the 2010 Women’s Conference in Long Beach, CA. We didn’t get tickets again (last year we missed out, too) so we are logged in to the White House blog site to get the streaming from the main day of the women’s conference to our conference room at work. I am looking forward to tomorrow for the Day of Transformation as the start of The 2009 Women’s Conference. This year is the first time the Monday sessions have been offered. I feel lucky to have gotten these tickets. I was logged in less than 5 minutes after ticket sales started (last July!) yet I was over 1000 in the waiting line and all the Tuesday main event tickets were gone by the time my turn came. So I helped organize a conference room at work so we could drop in during the day and watch the live webcast. You can click on the link here and watch it yourself as well. The Women’s Conference 2009 tickets go on sale Monday, July 13. Last year they sold out in 3 hours – and that was with major server outage problems! Maria Shriver invites us one more time to converge on Long Beach, CA to participate in the TOTALLY AWESOME event. It is hosted by California First Lady Maria Shriver and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I have gone to the last three years’ events and they all have been so totally empowering and invigorating!
This year the Conference has been expanded to two full days. The Women’s Conference 2009 will be held on Tuesday, October 27. The Minerva Awards are presented at the end of the busy day. On the day before, Monday, October 26, there will be the new Day of Transformation sessions and the second year of Night at The Village. For those unable to attend in person, there will be a live webcast.
Conference speakers are consistently fine examples of “Architects of Change.” This year’s list of speakers will be announced next Monday.
I can’t wait! It is so TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
